To date, one of my favorites to work on. As Gargaman, I really got to stretch my acting legs a bit. I enjoyed being evil! It was fun! Sheri [Devine] finally got to do some voices besides Dara, and did them well. David [Segal] and Chip [Jamison] did fine jobs as well, playing multiple characters. Jeff's [Coburn's] subtle change in personality while being controlled was great! And, we got the new companion... although I think we could have brought her in under less...piercing circumstances! [Laughter] I know Rachel [Sommers] did quite a bit of training for this one, and she gets a 'thumbs-up'! All in all, I also enjoy the finished product. Oh, and "Pepperidge Farm remembers!" (you have to listen...)

Some people have wondered why an audio drama would need a "Stunt Coordinator" and a "Swordmaster". After all, isn't everything done in post? To answer that question, you have to understand that it was only recently that The Doctor Who Audio Dramas started using post production to a large extent. Before, mostly every sound you heard was recorded live by the actors - so the swordfight you heard in The Seventh Dungeon of Drakmoore was real, using real swords. The actors themselves didn't handle the swords, however. That was done by, you guessed it, the Swordmaster. The job of the Stunt Coordinator was to ensure the safety of the cast. He made sure that the Swordmaster and the actors were at a safe distance from each other while still close enough to the microphone to be picked up. Anytime a weapon is used for effect, there is always someone assigned to safety, generally either Jym DeNatale (who usually coordinates physical stunts for effect: slaps, punches, throws etc.) or Chip Jamison (as weaponsmith, I believe it is called, who handles guns - used for the cocking of a trigger...or in this case swords). The swords and guns used are real. There is a rule on every set in Hollywood that anyone in the vicinity of a gun is allowed to check the weapon for himself to make sure it is unloaded or otherwise safe. After all, if you're around a gun, wouldn't you want to know for yourself that it's safe? The producer of The Doctor Who Audio Dramas has taken the rule one step further and REQUIRES that everyone check the weapon for himself. Safety is a very big deal.
